As per tradition, Navratri is
celebrated to worship nine different avatars of Goddess Durga. Each of the 9
days is a reverence to her different forms. In chronological order, they are
Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani,
Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri.
