Kunel Gaur the alumnus of WLCI “Advertising and Design School”
who now works with Wieden and Kennedy has got applauds from all quarters for his “Species”
project which witnessed enthusiastic participation of ‘artists’ from various
cultures and different countries of the world. The “Species” project collectively
showcased artists from around the world.
Kunel contacted many wild artists to dedicate their latest piece to the animal
they love the most. With only one rule: They had to design it in the exact form
of the ‘Animal logo’. Painters, illustrators, sculptors, graphic designers,
animators and even street artists interpreted the “Animal Logo” according to
their own sensibility and showcased their work. The outcome of this project was
mind boggling. The work they received from various quarters can only be
described as an exquisite piece of ART!
The result was an ART-Menagerie.
The “Species-Animal” collection brought the ideas from 101 artists to life from
around the world. Supported by National Geographic Channel, the organizers
showcased all the artists work and got raving reviews. The works were also anthologized
and a book was released with the help of ‘Kyoorious’.
Kunel hails from an advertising and design background, after passing out from his college WLCI “Advertising and Design School” he worked for JWT and Oglivy and Mather. Kunel loves to design and create and has been a part of many extraordinary creative’s and projects in the short span of his career. Kunel in a self-confessional tone says-he spends most of his time now selling other people's brands to normal people, who (mostly) hate advertisements and can easily spot a brand that has swiftly inserted itself in a movie/tv-series/reality show or their Facebook and news feed!
